Weeks 11 - 15

I'm so so sorry I have been slacking with updates! Going back to work and getting no sleep is taking it's toll on Momma.

Anyways, Lexi is growing... slowly. During week 13, Lexi had to visit the doctor and we got a pleasant surprise. She had a big growth spurt between months 2 and 3. She is now 23 inches long and weighs 11 pounds! Is it weird that I can't wait to see her size at 4 months? Aside from her size, her personality is really showing! She rarely cries and is constantly smiling.

During week 14, Lexi gave her first laugh to Kirby.

During week 15, Daddy got numerous laughs... and Momma still has zero :( . On a negative note, it appears that Lexi has already begun teething! We are constantly cleaning up a pool of drool and catching her gnawing on her hand.

Anyways, I will try to update more frequently this time!!

Week 10 & St. Patrick's Day

This week we celebrated St. Patrick's Day and made a trip to Knoxville to celebrate our cousin Elijah's 1st birthday party! We had so much fun and were excited to see the family again!

So after a 70* day, we had snow the very next day! We hadn't planned on cold weather past newborn-sized clothes.

Luckily, we had this great outfit from the Hickmans to keep Lexi warm!!

Weeks 7, 8, & 9

Sorry I have been so behind on updates!! Our little girl is growing so very fast, it's hard to believe it's already been 2 months!

During week 7, we spent 3 out of 5 days at the doctor. Turned out Lexi had double ear infections. As soon as we got home that day, she started vomiting after every feeding, so we had to go back the next day. She had to get a shot Wednesday and Thursday to help treat the ear infections, since she couldn't keep the other meds down. She also had to be catheterized to check for a possible UTI, which could've been the cause of vomiting. :( Luckily, by Friday we were back to normal, had overcome the stomach bug, and there was no UTI!

During week 9 we went back to the doctor for her 2 month shots and to recheck her ears. Her ears were healthy and she did so good with the shots. At 2 months she weighed 10 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long.

Funny, wait... not so funny story.

So we initially spent the extra money to upgrade from the "travel" swing (given to us by Great Aunt Marsha - thanks again!) to the full-sized swing. After weeks of trying out the "big" swing, only to end up with a screaming baby every time, we decided to spend the extra bucks and buy another travel swing. Figures she would LOVE the smaller version! We're so glad she will swing, but now we have the "big" swing being unused and just taking up space.

All the "travel" swing needed was her duck. Thanks Momma E and Matty J for Mr. Duck, who we dearly love!

Week 6 - Daddy's Little Valentine

It was our mission this week to wear all of our different Valentine's Day outfits! Lexi and I made our first trip to my classroom, surprising them during their Valentine's party. The next day, we took our first road trip to Knoxville to celebrate Uncle Jeff's 30th birthday! Lexi finally got to meet her cousins, which one day could mean trouble.
