Week 2

This week flew by so quickly, we can't believe she's already over 2 weeks old!
We got a good report at the doctor Thursday.
Alexis is now up to 7 lbs. 10 oz. and is perfectly healthy!

(Most of this week's pictures are just shots of random, cute moments.)

Trying out her new flower head band - I love this!

Still not a big fan of the sponge baths.
She was wiped out after screaming during the entire bath.

The best way to spend lazy Sunday afternoons

Just to remember how small her arms are in proportion to her head.

Week 1

From day 3 when we left the hospital through the remainder of week 1.
While we didn't do anything too adventurous, everything she does at this stage is momentous to us.

Beautiful baby in her going home outfit - favorite part is the bow

Daddy picked out this outfit to go home in since it is so cold this winter!

Staying all bundled up and warm during her first car ride

Daddy surprised Mommy with pink balloons on the mail box when we got home

This is what it looked like outside on the day we brought Lexi home

Kirby really makes the best big brother, always being protective

Daddy always lets Mommy take a "nap" before he goes to bed, but really I think it's just an excuse for some Daddy / Lexi cuddle time

Enjoying a good father / daughter chat

Lexi's 1st sponge bath
Mommy finally getting to enjoy some cuddle time

Daddy's hands are a little bigger than hers

Little girl clothes are SO cute!

Friends & Family Come To Visit

Lexi is a popular little girl and has been greatly blessed with so many loving friends and family members coming to visit. Thanks to everyone who has come to visit and for all of those who have brought us food.
We really appreciate all the love and support!!

We were able to get a photo with most of Lexi's visitors so far, but we realized we have already missed a few.
Sorry if we missed your photo op.... that means you must come visit again!

Lexi's Birth

Well our little girl finally made her arrival. After hours of trying to induce, it was discovered that my pelvic bones wouldn't separate enough, so we headed in for a c-section.

The Nursery

Just figured I would post some pictures of the nursery so far. It's still a work in progress, but we've gotten most of the essentials in place.

Once we finally hung the frames behind the glider...

Her nursery wouldn't be complete without her Titans bear

Lexi's Christmas gift from Aunts Emma & Tasha - a matching rug for her bedroom

The glider/ottoman combo and the crib

The dresser and the window

The changing table and TV
(for Mommy to watch when rocking)

The closet door which was decorated by Lexi's Daddy

I made these from all of the baby cards we were given.
