Weeks 16 - 20

Ok, so I totally lied. Finishing up the school year got the best of me and caused me to slip behind on blogs... and life in general. Now that summer's here, I'm going to try to do better!

Weeks 16 - 20 have been the most fulfilling weeks of parenthood so far! I've watched this little blob of a baby transform into a little human! During these last 5 weeks, Lexi started by rolling back to belly on her playmat and now she is scooting all over the floor! My bet is that she will be crawling within a month! Also new and fun, Lexi has found her vocal cords and she loves to use them! She is constantly talking, squealing, and laughing. Her fun personality is really showing!

Size-wise, Lexi hasn't grown much. At her 4 month shots, Lexi weighed in at 12 lbs. 4 oz. and measured 23 1/4" long. At least we are getting good use out of her 0-3 month clothing!

(The pictures aren't in order, but they are still adorable)

This baby girl LOVES bath time!

Riding with the Jeep top down!

Smiling Girl

Wishing she was big enough to "jump" in her jumperoo....

Cruisin' in style in Mommy's new jogging stroller

Trying to be little Miss Independent

Lexi came with me when our PreK took our field trip to the Hands On Science Center

Cousin Drew is so good at holding Lexi!

1st time in a pool and 1st time rockin' that bikini :)

She clearly loves her strawberry swim suit

Lexi spiked a fever and got sick following her 4 month shots...
She was a pathetic baby. :(

If you can't tell already, Momma likes strawberry items. Apparently, she does too.

Just hanging around the house, playing with her favorite toy, Mr. Duck

About 5 months, we tried our very first food, peas. She ate them reluctantly, but since then has been really coming around to the idea of food. Her favorites are apples and sweet potatoes.
My baby has a sweet tooth!

Mother's Day Weekend - Spending some playtime with cousin Drew

That's definitely a smile on her face

This was probably the last time Julie ever got this close to Lexi. Julie is now afraid of her, which makes no sense if you are looking at the obvious size difference.
(12 lbs vs 97 lbs)

On the other hand, maybe Kirby should be afraid of her... Lexi loves getting her puppy!

Sporting her new robe at the doctor's office for her 4 month shots!

Trying out her new shades while waiting at the doctor's office.

This is when I realized how big she was getting. She started reaching for, grabbing, and getting her toys. (*tear)

This reminds me of how small she is. Those tiles are 8" tiles.

Playing with Grammy on Mother's Day Weekend.

Trying out her new umbrella stroller, which we later discovered is her favorite way to travel.
